At least not in Wintermute that sort of thing is usually only in Survival mode. So I was not expecting Molly to have a body in her basement. But once you get near the stairs of the basement, a short cutscene will play. More importantly, we can finally start looting things! At this point, all of your Long Dark conditioning should kick in and compel you to search all the containers you find. First, it seems Astrid has her own special clothing items, just like Will (okay, so maybe only I thought that was cool). So into the basement, and things immediately start looking up. The basement door is in the hallway right outside that room. For reference, it’s the vase that’s in the same room as the broken rifle. As she said, the key to the basement is under a vase. I’m assuming Hinterland will patch this later, but you can only pick up the phone when it’s ringing.Īnyways, it turns out Molly is in trouble and needs Astrid to bring her some extra rifle ammunition. The phone is in the kitchen, on the wall across from the fridge.
Thankfully, it doesn’t appear to be timed and you can spend as long as you like getting to it. Once you find all the clues, a phone will start ringing. Upstairs in the bathroom, you’ll find a torn piece of orange fabric (which I admittedly mistook for a blood stain at first sight) In the sitting room across the hall from the office, you’ll find a broken rifle which Astrid says looks to have exploded at the barrel.ģ. It may be my screen resolution, but neither of them look very happy in my opinion.Ģ. On the desk in the office of the farmhouse (1st floor), you’ll find a picture of Molly and man. I’m presenting them in the order that I find them.ġ. You need to find three clues in the house.
